Laura Friday, 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher in power and therapeutic yoga, is offering private and semi-private sessions and small group classes at CORE Trauma Healing Center.
Private and Semi-Private Sessions: Fifty minutes tailored to the needs of the individual or duo. Those interested will be contacted via e-mail or by phone to plan a creative and productive initial meeting and goals for future sessions.
Adult Basics Yoga: One hour classes will introduce basic poses, meditation and breathing work. These classes are for those who are new to yoga and meditation. Mat, towel and water bottle are recommended.
Adult All Levels Yoga: Seventy-five minute classes will include meditation, breathing work, warm-up, flow, balance, cool down and rest (savasana). These classes are for everyone as there will be plenty of modifications (both to increase and decrease levels of intensity) offered. Mat, towel and water bottle are recommended.
Introduction to Meditation: One hour classes will include relaxation poses and guided meditation. Mat, towel and water bottle are recommended. $12 for drop-in, $50 for 4 week sign up. First four week session begins soon. Please call to register.

About the instructor – Laura Friday is a Registered Yoga Teacher (200HR Power) through Yoga Alliance. She also has certifications as a therapeutic and children’s yoga teacher. Laura has been practicing Ashtanga yoga for six years and hopes to travel to Mysore, India where this practice originated. Additionally, Laura has taken class in Yin Yoga, Bikram, and Kundalini. Laura believes yoga is a restorative experience that can help all practitioners become stronger and more flexible both physically and mentally. Her goal is to teach with the intention that yoga is for everybody and can be practiced everywhere throughout the day. Laura currently teaches at Anytime Fitness in West Hartford. She holds a Bachelor of Music in piano performance and numerous certifications in children’s music and movement. Besides her love of music, Laura is an avid gardener.
